Throughout history there have been watchers in the darkness. These unseen moderators of good and evil come and go through society as phantoms, enigmas, the unseen hand of guiding fate. From the realms of Midgard, Earth, the Gurhal System, and now to the world of Atreia they have ushered prosperity and happiness for those that embrace them and swift death to those who oppose them.
They are known as the Guillotine Cross. A group of people who use their talents to forge forward into a balanced future. When the sides of good and evil sway, they are there to set the balance right again. Known as assassins, mercenaries, scoundrels, or even honest warriors their members know that their actions will shape the future and as such no action is taken lightly.
Now, have you the conviction- the fortitude- to join this elite group of individuals? Or are you like the rest and are a lost lamb that shall either be led along it's course or brought to the slaughter?
About the Cross
If you have managed to find your way here it is because you have either drawn the interest of our members or have the strength of mind to go searching for what it is that you want in your gaming life. Either way, we here at the Cross are more than happy to have you here.
Composed of a group of like-minded individuals we are a mature but fun gaming community some of which who has been together through a number of games. This doesn't mean that we have cliques like many legions do, but rather that we are a tightly woven group that once you are a part of you will feel very stable in your standing with us as both a legion and as individuals.
While many of us range in the 21+ age range, we do have a few members that aren't geezers like some of us are, and we are more than happy to welcome them. The standard here is "Age does not necessarily mean maturity". Equally enough "maturity" doesn't mean "boring" either as I'm sure you'll see within a few hours of joining us.
What is expected of me- the member?
We here at the Cross have very few regulations and rules, but those we have must be followed. These rules are simple:
1: Keep in Contact
I understand that life can come at you fast, however it makes your friends and legion officers worry unnecessarily when you are gone from the game and the legion site for weeks on end with no notice. We ask that our members keep in contact via the game or the legion site at least once every 2-5 days. If you know you cannot do so for a period of time, let us know and we can note that you are on vacation, sick, etc... after all we aren't heartless. However all members are required to be active in game at least once every 10 days without prior notification. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.
2: Do not lie on your application
As legion leader the first impression I get of new applicants is by their applications. If you are not a social person, don't say that you are. If you are not interested in certain types of things, do not say you are. This will only cause problems for us later in the game's life.
3: Be mature when needed
Our legion asks our members to be 20 years of age or older. If you are one of our members who are under that age remember to be mature lest that privelage be revoked. Equally age doesn't innately provide maturity, so all you geezers be on good behavior too.
4: Don't remain stagnant!
While we do not have a strict leveling regiment, we do want to see our members grow in level and skill as individuals so that we can grow as a whole. If one person stays low level they will feel left out when the higher level people are participating in sieges and mass PvP. Keep on your own path of gaming, but do what you can to become better, that's all we can ask.
5: We are a legion, act like it!
If you log in and are looking for a group, check the guild roster. If someone in the group needs help for a group, go help them if you can! Part of being a tightly knit legion is integration and making yourself available. Remember, as far as a legion goes: together we stand, divided we fall.
6: Most importantly: Have fun!
We don't want morose people in our guild! If you aren't having fun, I'm not doing my job! So if anything can be brought to my attention to make your gaming more fun, don't hesitate to ask.
How can I contact you- the guild- to make an educated decision about joining?
Glad you asked! We currently have many ways of contacting us.
Firstly you can feel free to register and make a guildlaunch account and post on our non-member forums here on the site.
Second, on the left hand side of the site we have our C-Box! C-Box is a live-time chat program that is grafted into the site for ease of contact between members.
Third, I can be reached either via e-mail or AIM:
guillotinecross@ymail.com
AIM: DaemonoftheDark
With that said, welcome to the Cross. May it's darkness embrace you.
